Dr. Slaman obtained his Doctorate in Dental Surgery at the University of Missouri.
Postgraduate Training
Dr. Slaman has continued his education by attending Dawson Academy, Spear Education, Southwest Academy of Esthetic Restorative Dentistry, and NM Implant Study Club.
Mentoring Future Generations
While James Slaman, DDS, is a lifelong learner, he is also paying it forward by acting as a mentor at Spear Education in Scottsdale so future generations can continue to advance the field of dentistry.

In Practice Since 1992
Upon graduating from the University of Missouri, James Slaman, DDS, returned to Albuquerque and began his private practice in 1992. He has been providing his community with routine dental care, cosmetic dentistry, and restorative procedures ever since.
Advanced Training
Dr. Slaman considers himself privileged to have trained alongside top dentists from around the country. With them, he has learned how to effectively treat worn teeth, misaligned bites, and TMJ disorders. He hopes his wide knowledge base serves his community well.
Community Involvement
Dr. Slaman loves his community and proves it by donating his time and skill to underprivileged areas throughout New Mexico. He also participates in the Donated Dental Program, New Mexico Mission of Mercy, and dental missions in Guatemala.
Why Dr. Slaman Became a Dentist
Dr. Slaman needed orthodontics as a child and teenager, so he spent a lot of time with dental professionals. He wanted to help his community in the same way these dentists helped him. Dr. Slaman remembers always feeling comfortable while at the dentist's office and he strives to make his patients feel the same way.

In His Free Time
Outside the office, family is Dr. Slaman's top priority. He and his wife enjoy spending time with family and friends. During the summer, they enjoy boating and camping by the lake. In the near future, they look forward to teaching their daughter to snow ski.
